Angkor Wat

A complex of temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world. Angkor Wat was dedicated to Vishnu, the God of Protection. Looking straight off the set of Tombraider, because some of the temples were in fact used for the film! Visitors who walk the causeway to the main entrance of Angkor Wat and through the courtyards to the main tower, which once contained a statue of Vishnu, are said to be metaphorically traveling back to the first age of the creation of the universe. Pretty cool.
